what makes a robot?

it’s a machine
it’s artificial

manufactured, programmed and standardized by others…
dependent on external energy to function…
built to execute tasks with efficiency…
continuously upgradeable…
without emotions or inner life…
easily replaceable at any time…
composed of synthetic materials…

wait a minute, doesn’t that sound like us?

… social media, tv, advertising, algorithms, social norms
… likes, power, status, caffeine, sugar, alcohol, other drugs
… schools, higher education, factories, nine to five
… self-optimization, cosmetic procedures, biohacking
… emotions as unwanted noise, encouragement to suppress them
… transactional and disposable relationships
… microplastics and air pollution that stay in our bodies

the future is already here
robots are already ruling the world!
we are all slowly turning more into robots
a little more each day
and we’ve put the most “advanced” robots
into positions of power
running on toxic fuel

it’s nothing new
this process started way before
we even invented the word robot
just the scale and speed is new

we’re at a turning point
where do we go from here?

ai that accelerates the process of turning people into robots
using the same old patterns
that made people and the planet sick in the first place
recreating the past just wearing new clothes
led by the mind, dismissing the heart

regenerative ai:
ai that supports us in allowing our humanity
to become more real
to heal people and planet
imagining something new
building on lessons learned over millennia across cultures
a world more colorful, compassionate
conscious, peaceful, just, and free
led by the heart, balanced by the mind

ai won’t safe us
no amount of technology is going to save us
from the world we’ve created
and create again everyday
that ultimately is rooted in fear

we can only save ourselves
one heart at a time
and ai could be part of this path

we have a choice
what kind of ai do we want to build?
what world do we want
ourselves and our children to live in?
